I do a lot of forum stuff where I need two monitors for spreadsheets.
Heres a 27" benq 2 ms for $200
And depending on your desk I was liking this once I get my monitors figured out
Or for dual 27in
If your doing a dual monitor just get a very nice 27in for gaming and a cheap 23in that I listed to watch porn while gaming.
I'm with Krazy on this one. If you are set on 144hz go with the ASUS VG248QE. I have two of them and the only thing I would trade them for are IPS monitors.
That seems to be the way to go. Get one monitor for gaming and a secondary for work and stuff... I tend to like the Asus stuff so I'll probably go with that.
You will lose the 144hz if you switch from DVI.
This is directly from their website.I was under the impression that there was very little or no difference between DVI and HMDI signal degradation. Do you know for sure? It would be a very ignorant to get a 144hz monitor and then kill its potential by using the wrong cable. That would be like putting together a $5,000 dollar multiplayer gaming system and connect it to the internet via a dial-up modem... a 1900 baud rate modem... lol....

To activate 144Hz function (in 2D mode), both DisplayPort (or Dual-link DVI) and a selected graphics card with the latest driver are required.

I've tested display port and know for sure that doesn't go to 144. I will test with an HDMI cable in the next few hours and let you know what I get.I believe they should both perform the same, but just in case I'll stick to the DVI and prevent myself any headaches... Still, can resist to wonder would that be....
Well I have confirmed on my system that HDMI does not support 144hz, 120hz, or anything above 60hz.
I did some research on the web as I don't know much about it. HDMI 2.0/2.0a is the most current version of HDMI and it supports up to 1920x1080 120hz and the only card that I know of that has HDMI 2.0 is the Nvidia 9xx series.
