iBuyPower's ironic Chimera line is back with the Chimera XLC. First seen at CES, this bad boy features an extreme! flame motif on the outside of the box -- in addition to the 240mm liquid cooling system in the box. That's right: 240mm radiator, a 200mm fan, and five (count 'em!) 120mm fans. This bad boy also packs an Intel Core i7 processor, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti GPU, and support for Level 3 Power Drive Overclocking service. Not bad for $1,599, eh? And it's available now. PR after the break.

i bought a system from them about 4 years ago. it arrived DOA. they are a pain to work with as far as getting it shipped back and fixed. personally i would never buy from them again. take your time and build your own.

Check out http://www.lucomputers.com they are a canadian company but last time i really checked them out the prices were outstanding, and they test each computer before it leaves to make sure you dont get the DOA experience.

I have not purchased anything from them myself but I do know a few people that did and man did they have problems. Everything from machines that arrived DOA and were hard to get shipped back to them taking forever to ship your order.

Don't take my word for it Google I Buy Power complaints and see for yourself. Don't read reviews they are bias look at complaints and you will get a real world look at these folks from other consumers and not these kiss ass review sites.

Here is just one I randomly pulled after I Google "I Buy Power Complaints".

A warning about ibuypower

also the people i talked to in their customer support dept barely spoke english. or did so with such a heavy accent that you had to ask them what they said 10 times. makes for very long and increasingly frustrating times.

I have never purchased anything from them. I like to build my own machines, but thought I would post it for those that don't build their own machines.

If you know what your doing building your own is always the best way to go. :)
