If a cigarette lighter gets stuck in will the fuse blow?

Okay so some of you might know my computer has a cigarette lighter, standard issue 12 volt car lighter on a 5.25 panel mount.

Post rebuild today I could smell something burning and sure enough it was the lighter. I pulled it out and it was not red hot but it was hot and so was the socket. The fuse was blown.

Now I can't think of any other situation than the lighter being pushed in while I was fiddling with the machine but I have to counter this with knowledge of whether or not the fuse should have in eventuality blown or if I need to look for as short.

simple engineering really, the answer is yes. Also, smoking is very very bad for your health, this is my obligatory message informing you to quit.

He is talking about his car.

I'm confused as fuck now. I wish I didn't click this thread. Upload some pictures, because I'm not sure if you're a fucking genius or a complete moron and I must know.

My computer has a cigarette lighter and cupholder. It's a classic computing accessory and a must have. Think they discontinued it in 2004.

I have now seen everything. His PC is his car and it has an ashtray/cupholder and cigarette lighter.

I'm sure the inside of your case looks likes this from all the ash sucking inside. haha

Don't have a decent pic of it and since I smashed my Nexus 5 all I had was a cruddy cell phone to take a picture with.

But this is the disassemble from before cleaning.

Don't smoke. Filters all around. Despite the open holes its positive pressure so minimal dust.

Did you buy your Nexus 5 from the Google Play store? If so they should give you your one free replacement, if they're still offering it.

You guys are all missing the point entirely...

RAIN IS ALIVE after the story of him moving into that f'd up situation. I was worried if we would ever hear from him again... clearly it messed up his brain, but I can't wait to hear the stories when they come out coherent
