looking at a new phone help me out

so I use att's go phone service cause well sometimes I don't have the funds to pay at the time a legit bill would be due that and my credit is shit so they want like 500 down for a contract. anyways these are the 2 phones im looking at what yall think or suggest?

what is your budget? Lots of good phones you can get for decent prices and let you stay contract free

U can use the go phone as a regular just swapping in the sim, not sure why it couldn't work in reverse. Get a used one. Heck I have an s3 laying around here somewhere
 
The HTC you are looking at is pretty decent for the money. If you don't want to be locked down to AT&T I would have suggested the Moto G, the LTE version is a hair over $200 and then there is the 2nd gen version out now as well. The 16 gig version of which costing a bit more as well.

The point is the Moto G is like a mid range nexus. It's unlocked, runs stock android. Gets updates quickly and is very much open to aftermarket firmware. I am on my laptop over a bad cell connection so I can't look up the details on the 2014 edition. But basically if you go looking the original version came in non LTE versions and an LTE version. US and Global variants. The new one is probably similar I know there is a US and Global variant.

On the other hand if your like HTC's customizations or hell even the padphone is an interesting but imperfect concept. You might want to go that direction. You can get the 1st gen Moto X for 260 bucks these days.
 
my budget is 200-300 was looking at unlocked phones but they all seem to only be able to get 2g for data not that much fun. hell turbo if ya got an s3 laying around and can find it let me know what yad want for it. im more likin the HTC outta the 2 ive found. or if any suggestions in my price range do share plz

There are at least a Dozen phones out there that work on both AT&T and T-Mobiles 3G and 4G services in that budget range. The Moto G will out perform a US S3 all day long. Not that it wouldn't be a great phone at the right price. If it only works on 2G you are either looking at a version for the wrong carrier or are looking at a global, non us variant.

I haven't look at the Nexus 5 prices lately but by the end of the year you should be able to get one for $300. It's the same CPU/GPU as a Galaxy Note 3, falls just short of a Galaxy S5.

If you get an S3 off someone it has to be an AT&T variant, as the T-Mo version will only do 2G on AT&T's network.

well I do a xmas svings at work and already have all the pc parts that I need atm so is why im lookin at a phone do you have a link for this moto g you speak of. I should be getting around 600 on the 17th but trying not to spend it all on a phone and have some left which is why im triying to stay under 300

It appears the LTE version of the Moto G is only available as an 8GB version, but that HTC you are looking at is as well so... http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-Moto-Universal-Unlocked-White/dp/B00K0NS0P4 In comparison the screen is only 4.5" versus 4.7" but it 720P so you gain some resolution. It has the same Snapdragon 400 CPU that is popular among mid range phones.

If you want to get closer to high end last years Moto X is a good place to start. It is one of last years best phones. When the Moto X came out it shook up my world a little because its CPU is not as powerful as the one in my Nexus 5 but its performance was better due to optimized drivers. It's Galaxy S4 territory.

I don't know much about the following but you can look into:
LG G2 Mini $269 Has the Snapdragon 400 like that HTC and Moto G, doesnt seem worth the price.

Sony Xperia T2 $299. Another Snapdragon 400 powered phone. Keep an eye out as well on deals for the HTC One M7. Its even better than the Moto X, its HTC's last year phone as well. Has a 1080P screen and is getting an update to Android 5.0 early next year. I have seen it as low as $329 and would be a hell of a phone for the money. But right now its untouchable at that price it seems.
 
I like that motox you have linked I don't need a whole lot of storage as I basically use my phone for txt calls and browsing Fb the chive and reditt to pass the time at work
 
Wait till black Friday or cyber Monday; I have 3 teenagers; each one wants a new phone for Christmas; best deals are those two days. I use Virgin Mobile and usually deals are around 40-50% off.

hell I didn't even think about that balls yeah ill hold off till then see what comes up on sale. at worst I still spend the 200-300 I had planned too or get a hell of a deal
 
I think ima pick up the HTC desire 610 amazon is doing a weeks worth of deals and I can snag it up at 160 instead of the 200 2 ppl at work have it and have no complaints and as of right now the phone ive got locks up every 10 minutes
