I am trying to find an analog plug headset that does 5.1 so I can jack two of the channels for team speak running on a usb audio device.

The idea is to play teamspeak through a usb sound card so that it doesnt show up on videos and still goes through the same headset. I will be losing say the rear 2 channels. The headset will basically be operating as 3.1 and the sound will be a little off center by itself.

I am satisfied with how my Logitech USB H530 turned out and basically not trying to be any shittier. But I also dont have any damned money.

That might just work, I passed by the name earlier but now that I looked specifically at them looks like they have an older AX Pro model thats 100 or less as well as a Mad Catz branded product for 80 something... it sadly is also Black Ops branded as well lmao.

Cool shit thanks for the tip sid.

EDIT they also seem to have a current lesser 5.1 model thats also 100 bucks normally. From the looks of it the 510 is what the madcatz is based off.

My suggestion is to give up the Center channel for team audio. See if BC2 supports a 4-channel audio setup first.

I use the Turtle Beach x11. there like $50 and they work with all gaming systems xbox,ps3,PC. and there perfect amazing bass and sound.

I've heard bad things about TRITON and quality. Doesn't Sennheiser have 5.1 surround sound?

Do we have to get into a pissing match again? You can't get real 5.1 sound out of one speaker!!!
I love mine. They work great. No problems.

I am failing to see the x11 being even close to 5.1 with seperate analog plugins allowing me to plug into a second sound card to use a channel for teamspeak. Tritton's are offered in a toslink to do 5.1 with consoles, meanwhile this x11 and x12 appear to have stereo mic and stereo headset and thats it.

As for the brand the Z6a is labeled 5.1 multidriver and is msrp 100 bucks, might be an option.

TRITS those will cost you a arm and a leg, there like $300
74 bucks + the cost of a can of spray paint - PROVANTAGE: Mad Catz CD79051100A1/02/1 Call Of Duty: Black Ops 5.1 Analog PC gaming Headset

98 bucks and probably the same headset - Amazon.com: Tritton PC51u USB Powered True 5.1 Analog Gaming Headset for PC (TRI905120002/04/1): Electronics

100, older ax pro model? - Amazon.com: Tritton Ax51 Pro Gaming Headset: Video Games

The ones he linked arent even 200 - Amazon.com: Tritton AX Pro Dolby Digital Precision Gaming Headset: Video Games

300 dollars? Not mandatory thats for sure. ALso exactly what I need true 5.1 with seperate analog inputs.

Just saying, many people say they break easily.

Sorry buddy I knew you were gonna say that fckn name. I already looked and didnt see shit. Especially on a 100 dollar budget thats already way too much money. Last time i said i wanted to spend 20 bucks everyone linked 300 dollar headsets. Think they did better this time.

What's wrong with Sennheiser? I've been using the same headset for 5 years. They may not have what you're looking for, but they are fucking great headsets, durable, and quality that lasts for years if you take care of them.

The problem is they are never what I am looking for and yet they seem to come up.

I found this on techgage that actually describes the situation with Sennheiser fans:
You can find glowing reviews of just about every headphone on the market, and everywhere I went I saw threads that went something like this...

Lamz0r n00b: I'm thinking of getting XXXX 5.1 headset. Any recommendations?

1337 Hax0r: Those are utter crap. Get the Sennheiser HD5XX. They sound WAY better. Btw, I have a recording studio in my house, and I just knifed you on CS:S.

...which didn't make my decision any easier, since the HD5XX series are stereo.
Thats off the first google link that comes up for sennheiser 5.1 btw lol. Still looking just to show u 500 dollar heaphones that say "If you buy me you cant afford the pc you planned to use me on so now you dont need me".

I should reiterate I am buying these headphones only because I dont wish to wear two headphones at the same time so I can record game footage with no teamspeak. I am not buying 5.1 headphones because I want to, they are the solution to the problem and ANYTHING that doesnt match the description is 100% useless.

this^ dont buy a triton they are garbage, if your looking for a competitive head set check out astro (Astro A40 Gaming Headset | Pro Gaming Headsets | AstroGaming.com) if your cheap as fuck like me, buy the x11, with the ear force dss, turns your head set from stero to simulated 5.1. and yes you tell a huge difference with the encoder.

I am not looking for a competitive headset. I am looking for a solution to a problem, I have a perfectly good headset.

I require a headset with a minimum of 4 drivers and a microphone, anything that is stereo is 100% useless. I need to plug the headset into 2 different sound cards at the same time.

I intend to record gameplay that is free of teamspeak, so either it means never getting on teamspeak again... or a 4.0 or better headset. 5.1 being the obviously more common solution.

Cheap is also a must, a 200 dollar headset means something like not buy a graphics card this year. Which means no gaming at all.

Why would a 5.1 headset be a solution to recording the game without TS? Just use PlayClaw-$30.00 and you can turn off the TS sound for recording-problem solved.
