New Computer Build Questions

As you see graphic card isn't there because it's not available yet. What do you guys think, any brand to switch to another one? Also Asus or Evga 1080 Ti?

You need SSD-s. Also, I'd recommend switching the paste to https://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod...86&cm_re=ceramique-_-9SIA1K653V5386-_-Product , it is the same brand, yet far more forgiving, in addition, the performance is slightly better.

Regarding the fans, since you seem to be going rather balls deep, have you looked at noctua industrial fans? Those things will last a long time and you can have absolutely ridiculous air movement.

Yes I saw them and I am sure that it is a better brands than Thermaltake but I like the design of these fans with a nice LED ring. Also they are very well reviewed as quiet and efficient.

Ah. Quiet is one thing Noctua industrial fans are definitely not. They are useful for ventilating small apartments, tbh :D
 
The ring fans are very good, especially if you'll be water cooling. They do a great job of providing pressure while remaining very quiet.
A couple of things:

The LED strips. Have you seen the magnetic ones? They're much cleaner looking and no adhesives. The downside is no RBG just one color per strip.

The other thing is why 2 SSDs? Why not just get an NVME drive which is faster than those SSDs in raid?

Indeed I will go for these instead, I don't need RBG anyway.

I try not to put all my eggs in the same basket if I can say like that. It piss me off when I loose everything at once. I am not familiar with these NVME but if it's better why not. But why are they not in a case like other SSD and HDD?

:P The 3 fans of the CPU liquid cooling radiator will be replaced by 3 x 120mm bought separately to match the rest of them. So remove 3 fans and don't forget that this is a full case no mid size tower. Better run everything at low and quiet noise than cranking all of it because it's warming up too fast.

Case? They're about the size of a stick of old fashioned chewing gum. Some have covers and act as heatspreaders but a lot of them don't. They clip into the M2 slot on the motherboard and the thinking was that nobody would see them anyway...except that anybody who builds their own most likely wants to show it off.

Anyway, no need for that. As far as eggs in a basket, just use backup software to write your system's image. Most programs these days have incremental backups that update the current backup image with any changes you do to your system so the backup image is up to date. I had one SSD fail on me but I did the backup prior to that and just wrote the image on the new SSD and had everything back like nothing happened.
 
One last thing; the NVME M2 drives are crazy fast. It's a good time to get one.

Is the performance really that noticible compared to Samsung Evo 850's?

Yes. I didn't think it would be but was kind of shocked when I started using it.

Performance Game Load Times
Here at Guru3D.com the audience catered to is primarily made up of gamers. And as such I'd like to start offering real world performance game tests. During game load a lot of things happen in the system. The CPU is hard at work, your SSD loads up executables, binaries, shaders, textures and what not while the system memory process it all. Thing is, with a fast SSD you can really decrease the overall load time of your games and levels.

We now measure based on game sequence load and translate that into the number of MB/s the storage unit can manage and load. Higher is better in this chart.

That's the kind of comments I saw on newegg from buyers:
(Just like when ssd came out using this technology makes your computer a faster more responsive beast of a machine. It makes everything you do on your computer feel faster it's just that simple. If you were blown away the first time your static drive booted up this will be the same experience all over again.)

The only concern in the comments that come back a little bit is the fact that surface of module gets quite warm.

As long as there's good airflow no problem. I kept reading 50C was an average temp of these things but mine averages around 30C gaming.
 
Sry, being sick i missed out on new pc talk.
I have the MSI GeForce GTX 1070 GAMING X 8G 8GB 256-Bit, and it runs anything. Im sure the 1080ti will not leave you wanting.
Most important factor about your monitor is Hz. Make sure your doing better then 120hz(minimum for 3D gaming). 144Hz and up only.
If 4k runs at higher Hz, go for it.
