So, it looks like the new Kepler card which will be out by the end of this month is called "Geforce Titan" instead of GTX 780 as I called it earlier.

It's rumored to be faster than the GTX 690, and the cost is reported to be $899 .

That'll be one expensive, fast, and awesome motherfucker.

It's likely that the card will be stripped down a bit (less video memory maybe) and appear for cheaper in the summer (Geforce Little Titan? LOL).

NVIDIA GeForce Titan Features 6 GB Memory - Review Samples Already Shipped

I really wanted one, but I think I'll wait for something that's $600 at most. $900 is getting to be a bit stupidly ridiculous even for a large budget...

I can't justify dropping half a beat-up used car on my gaming hobby at the moment...

just in time for crysis 3 - now if you tri-sli that card you will get about 30 FPS in medium settings in crysis 3 =)

Problem with some of these high end cards, is many people will also need to upgrade their PSU if they want to get it. That tends to be another $130+.
However, this does look awesome and insane.

Not as fast as I had hoped (I was hoping it would be over twice of a 680). Doesn't make sense to purchase, considering you get ~60% of the performance for ~40% of the price (GTX 670 brand new at $350 vs this at 900), but looks like we have a new best on top of the "single GPU" food chain.

Might consider if it ever falls to $600-700 (probably never, lol).

I wonder what insanity this might be overclocked xD... we'll see in about two weeks I suppose.

Yeah, you can build an entire, really nice computer for the price, with a GTX 670 lmao. It's certainly a ridiculously luxurious thing, but nevertheless it'll be by far the fastest single GPU consumer card out there when it's released, for games anyway.

It's kinda like a Lamborghini I guess xD...

The NDA over the specs of the card and the price was lifted today:

HARDOCP - [H]ardware Round-Up

In short, about 60-70% MOAR shaderz/transisterz/derpz than GTX 680, a bit lower clocks, so expected performance increase about 50-60% overall over GTX 680.

MSRP: $999 (well, at least it's not over $9000 :-/ !)

My butt-cheeks are clenching asynchronously... Do I buy this when/if it falls to $900-ish, do I wait for a rehashed card with some kind of cut which might happen over the summer, or do I wait for the 700-series. FFFFFUUUUUUUUU!!!!

NDA over benchmarks will be lifted on Thursday.

P.S. Oh yeah, it also sux power harder than soulzz sucks dick (at about the GTX 480 level), but apparently it's fairly quiet per guru3d review and even cooler than GTX 680. Not sure about overclocking, that'll be interesting to see.

Asus NVIDIA GTX Titan GPU 6GB GK110 | eBay

Not sure if for real or not, but if for real they got bought... for $1.6k each. WAT!

Also, early benchmarks xD :

The NDA will be lifted tomorrow morning around 7am US time by the way.

Paper-launched fkyeah. Pretty much as expected.

Best single-GPU video card in the world - if you can spare the $1K...

Of course the GTX 670 is IMO the absolute killer as far as price/performance goes at the high-end right now, considering OCd it mostly performs over the stock 680 (and even OC to OC it's probably a better choice considering thermal/power limits...) and it's $370 brand new...

I kinda need a video card soon-ish, so I'll wait to see if they cut the titan into something that I can take (maybe with reduced memory or something...). The $1K dick is a bit too large for my tight anus right now.

By the way, the retail embargo lifts on the 28th of February :-) .

Even with the ridiculous price, I expect it to be out of stock for weeks... I heard if you do CAD'n'shit, where compute performance matters, it's a killer budget solution, considering production cards are pretty outdated and cost like $3K+...

Yes, fuck the ebay bitches ^_^ . Nevermind that probably half of them are scams...

$1000 yikes. That is up there with the intel extreme procs for $1000+. Just think you could be into a system with just a proc and vcard for $2000.

I am waiting for the next NVidia to come out to replace my 570. Should be soon

The 700-series is rumored to be around xmas or later. I wouldn't call 8+ months "soon..."
