Opinion on phone

Google Nexus.

Do you have other options, or are those the two you've selected from doing research?

yes those are two. There is the LG Optimus. But i don't like it. There is HTC Desire also

I have the Samsung Galaxy Nexus myself. Love it, but uses battery like crazy.

battery, good camera and overall reliability is what i am looking for.

I love my Galaxy S3; my wife adores the Note 2 (as long as a giant phone is ok with you)

If you want battery get the MAXX version of the RAZR HD. Its a great phone but the tweaker inside me has rejected moto until this point.

The Galaxy Nexus is an older phone now but its still current and just the same as I'd take my Galaxy S2 again I'd take an Nexus again. You have access to The latest version of Googles OS which is plain in comparison to the customized varients from OEMs but you have the Full support of the dev community. Cyanogen Mod supports the device fully and brings features you expect from both OEM and Custom android.

I was hoping for a Samsung Nexus this year but LG got the honors with the Nexus 4 and I want to love it but I hate it.

Get the MAXX you damn fool. Battery life on the standard is as shitty as every other phone on the market :p 6 hours of use a couple days of standby. With the MAXX you can stream video for 12 hours or keep the screen on doing jack shit for like 16 hours. Week of standby if your lucky.

Oh well enjoy its a hell of a phone and with the Google ownership things are getting better on the custom end. The budget RAZR M got CyanogenMod 10 the other day so good sign all around.

Yah get the Maxx HD. Thats what I got right now. AWESOME battery life.

im going with a contract and what they are offering. Because it is with a contract I am really only paying 50 dollars for the phone.

Ahh fair enough. All i know is the Nexus 4 doesnt havnt LTE(officially). And so far the Razr HD has been AWESOME. The only thing that isnt great, is the camera. But it's by no means bad. I even dropped it in a full sink of water and the phone stayed on and was fine. Needed a night in some rice to get the water out of the ports to allow for proper connections to the simcard, but thats it.

I dont have the Razr HD, I have the Razr Maxx. The earlier version of the Razr series. I do enjoy it a lot, and the Maxx version is definitely worth it. I have about 5 apps that are constantly receiving information. With those 5 running, and using messaging programs and web surfing I charge my phone once per day. My last phone would die after a few hours of that.

I got the Galaxy S3 wicked phone. The new Nexus looks like a nice one. But the back being glass is kinda scary.

Galaxy S3 all the way :D

In the US Or Canada fuck that piece of shit :p The Snapdragon S4 is a hell of a CPU and the 1.5 Ghz Dual Core S4 is an upgrade over the 1.2Ghz Exynos many S2
s carried but its no match for a 1.5/1.6Ghz Quad Core S4 long term. Many companies are pushing 1 year upgrades out the door it has people like me thinking long term. S3 is a great phone but its only half the upgrade it should have been.

I am with death on that Nexus 4 back glass, its retarted. The LTE chip inside being off officially is silly. If I upgraded tomorrow it would be the Galaxy Note II but thats a bit big for some people. The LG Optimus G would be a good choice over the Nexus 4 if you want Note 2 like hardware in a different package.

It wasn't until Ice Cream Sandwich that Android gained proper multi cpu support. Its hard to say how applications are going to be taking advantage in the near future or how Multi Tasking will make the extra cores count. Plenty of background apps these days but they usually are not cpu intensive. With hardware decoders for video the CPU isn't hammered watching video etc. Phones are living in a pretty balanced world where all this power isn't yet utilized. I am happy to stick with my S2 for the moment but I can't wait for the next super phone to come out.

dude, im going to call everyone who holds an iphone a fag now, this thing is EPIC.

Lol aint it though? It's not the best phone out there, but it's definitely solid. I love the build quality too. Want some app suggestions?
