Hey folks,

I ran the in-game test for Battlefield 4 and seems I suffer from "outgoing packet loss" of 4.00. My game tells me to stop other devices from using the internet connection.

1: How do I check to see what other devices are running on the internet connection?

2: How can I tweak my computer, router, and connection to improve this problem?

Thank you for any suggestions.

Fury ;)

I had the same issue to the point where the game was almost un playable.

go here first: http://www.pingtest.net/

Check to see if you are experiencing packet loss through your ISP

Secondly,
if it is not: unplug EVERYTHING that is internet related in your home via the pipeline from your router to your computer and reset/reconnect it.

I had to reset everything in my house. I still have issues, but it's not as bad and I can still play.

OK thank you. I ran "ping" in command prompt and had no packet losses when "pinging":
yahoo.com and tbgclan.com. It seems to be related only to Battlefield 4.

I will run that test with pingtest.net as well. Thank you

Open a command prompt (you may have to run it as admin)

In the open window, type tracert 8.8.8.8 (google) and look at your hops...you can use any web destination. Generally speaking, your first couple should be very low.

You can also ping from the same window, just type ping www.tbgclan.com or whatever. (Pretty sure that's what the link Lex provided does)

Hey guys,

I ran the test at PINGTEST.NET and:
Packet Loss: 0% Ping: 36ms Jitter: 4ms
Grade: A

So this is only related to Battlefield 4. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks. ;)
