well finally my damn dell broke down after 4 years. I think i still got warranty on it. So i'll still get the parts to fix it.
My video card was already acting up the last month or so. I would see unprocess images such as (big line, blocks randomnly) yes my drivers were up to date. Anyways played 2142, game froze and poof shuts off. When i load the PC, i see weird green line vertically when my bios starts up, same thing when win XP screen loads up and won't even get me to desktop. So could be video card issue or both power supply and video card.

Anyways i needed to get myself a new rig. But if i can still get the parts replaced for free that would be a treat.

Did you try to blow out the inside of the PC and the fans? Could just be overheating.

i did that last week i didn't clean that for like 2 yrs lulz. But yeah i did that just last week.

Wow, crapped just in time for BC2. I guess the graphics problems didn't keep you from owning some guys in the air in 2142 a few days ago. A big help to our side those rounds!

Fast, that's actually great news. You've been needing to update for a while. Now's the perfect excuse to build a real machine

i have a P3 i could ship you as a band-aid :D

sadly i just sold my old gaming rig or you could have borrowed that. it sat here fully loaded for 2.5 months. then i made $300.

np did some scouting from store to store. One of the stores i went to was Tigerdirect.ca retail store 10 min drive. They were able to give me discount from their stuff online.

Aiming to get phenom II X4 945 3.0ghz
OCZ 1066MHZ 4 GB DDR3
1GB DDR5 ATI 5770 HD
I got their powersupply brand 3-5 yrs warranty
Thermaltake case (mid tower) 2 120mm fans (1 at the back 1 at the front) has also a big vent on top portion of the tower.
MSI motherboard ATX
Freeze thermal extreme conductivity
500 GB seagate
I am getting it partitioned for back up puposes.
And slapping on optical drive obviously. Forget which one but does the job from DVD/CD/RW

Fuck NVIDIA never buying their shit again, 3rd time my card failed on me. I have another computer 6 years old uses ATI radeon 300 SE (shit i know) but worked so damn well with MECH 4, CS, even ran low for BF2, plus this rig being used everyday, never never had issue. And ever since AMD took over ATI updating drivers seem to be a breeze. I had the option to go for NVIDIA 250 GTS but i say fuck it. Gonna test out ATI card
