PC Randomly Restarting

So for the past month or two, my PC has been restarting at random times. It used to restart about once a week, now it's occurring more frequently. It's like the power button is being held down till it shuts off, but it always restarts right away again. This time it didn't start again right away, the power button was unresponsive. I unplugged the PSU cord, plugged it back in, and the PC did not start up when I pressed the power. It took about 15 seconds and then it DID start up again without me having to prompt it further.

Specs: Win 7 64 bit Service Pack 1
AMD FX-8320 3.5ghz 8 core (stock)
Asus Strix GTX 960 4gb (OC Edition)
GA 970A UD3 mobo
EVGA Supernova G2 750watt. gold rated PSU
Two 8GB Ripjaw DDR3 ram sticks
etc.
EDIT: Only thing new is perhaps my corsair K70 mechanical keyboard??? Surely that couldn't be causing this though?

The problem does NOT appear to be temperature related. Neither my GPU or CPU typically surpass 50-55C, and much less when not under load. I've ran the Windows memory diagnostic and it came up with no errors from my RAM. The problem did not occur right after installing anything new so i can't imagine what it could be.

Maybe the PSU is dying?

This PSU has a standard 10 year warranty, but it would suck to pull it and ship it off only to have it come back saying it's totally fine and then I've not had access to my PC in awhile.
 
Is the PS cord sitting firmly in its hole? I was ready to break the bank last week only to find out that one of the cats had tripped on it and inched it out just enough for a nudge on the table to disconnect it...

If yes, have you done a virus check with something on the level of malwarebytes?

If yes, have you tried windows recovery? (Has solved the exact issue for me in the past when I was still running 7)

if yes, something physical is probably broken.

I've ran my virus scanner, the cords are secure both outside and inside the PC. I have NOT tried a windows recovery because I can't remember exactly when the problem began.
 
Do you see anything on Event viewer after those crashes?
 
have you changed anything in the bios?
Power Saving setting?
 
I'd check your PSU power cord, the chords from the PSU to equipment, and if that didn't work test the PSU. There's no reason for it to randomly shut off unless the power is interrupted or the PSU is faulty.
Have you been having brown outs? Do you use a battery backup or plug straight into the wall?
 
Oh, I did have an EVGA 1000G2 that was faulty and fizzled a couple of months after I got it; apparently there was a recall on the batch I bought but they cross-shipped quickly. Never rule out that the PSU is the problem no matter how new it is.
 
The psu cords can be just as bad too. If that cable is hot.... You've got problems

I have NOT done a malware scan, but I will download the program and do so. I do NOT have any additional PSU cables that I can replace mine with to see if that helps. No brown outs AFAIK. I haven't changed anything in the BIOS in months since I flashed the BIOS a couple months ago with the help of some TBG members.

I've never used event viewer before? here's a gyazo of all the events from today's date. I am 90% sure the "Kernal Power critical error" was when my PC shut off today at 11:19AM, but I don't know what that means. https://gyazo.com/3857b423c9cdc6796acb872d9dd4c85e
 
Also scrolling down this list, I see more of those critical kernal power errors that occur roughly on the same time frame as these PC restarts. before today, the last was 5/9, before that was 5/5, before that on 4/22, then 4/19... etc etc.

EDIT: oh, the event viewer just says that those kernal power critical errors are just when the PC shuts down unexpectantly.

ANOTHER EDIT: Currently running the malwarebytes scan. Will return here with results

How much Porn have you downloaded?
Dirty Video's and Pic's can cause lots of problems
 
Not sure if someone mentioned this already, but heat is a common problem with shutdowns. Check your CPU and heat sink and make sure there is plenty of goo on it and you have a decent fan on it.
 
Have you tried shoving your cock in the power supply while Soulzz watches? This can sometimes help with poor GPU performance and reboots.
 
Well ima take it to the local repair shop tomorrow morning and let them take a look at it. I'm at a loss. Fortunately I've been there so much the guy doesn't really charge me much anymore lol
 
Well... day 3 of PC being in shop. the first day I called at the end of business hrs for an update, he told me that the 12v rail was only testing in at 11.5, but I was also told that they typically have a +-.05% variance? Anyways he told me he'd call me when he found something. No calls yesterday. We'll see if today's the day. I miss playing games. Borrowed the gf's old laptop... Send help, supplies running low. Don't know how much longer I can hold out.
If I don't make it... Tell lobo to suck a fat one.
