If yall dont see me for awhile you know I finally blew it up.

For the last 2 years my laptop which has a 9800M GS has been running the 9800M GTS bios. This puts it at 600 Mhz Core, 1500Mhz Shader and 800 Mhz Memory. With 64 CUDA cores this actually makes it the equivalent of the 9600 GT desktop card in 59 watt trim.

I have decided to pursue the 9600 GT desktop clocks from the 96 watt model. I upped the voltage to 1.15 anf went ahead and flashed 620 core, 1550 shader, 850 memory.

Ran into trouble at 650/1625/900 from the 9600 GT. But so far 10 minutes of burning at 640/1600/900 have been good.

Going to rerun my 3dmark06 and vantage later. 3dmark06 in XP was 10,001 last run.
 
Easy there mad scientist don't go blowing up the Lab on yourself now lol.
 
Meh 9868 for 3dmark06 in windows 7. Bested my Windows Vista last score of 9713. XP was actually 10084 last time and id guess 10200 at best if i tried it again.

Cant get the last test on Vantage to complete trying to reinstall PhysX now.
 
I thought you had built a desktop, why play around with the laptop?

Guess my broke ass aint said it enough. Itll be done the day BF3 comes out.

Just bought the PSU last week. 5 weeks of saving Ill have the Mobo Ram and CPU and have the machine booted. After that GPU, BF3, Monitor and than GPU. A bunch of new drives and some 3.5 bay devices to finish off the machine at the end of the year.

PSU is currently powering a BTX Intel 775 C2D machine for load testing.
 
Appears I finally got a Vantage result. I compared it to an E8500 cpu which specs out similarly and the 9600 GT, well my score is just over a thousand less. According to the bs o meter my machine is above the score for its hardware though.... which with the cpu and gpu overclock... duh

Vantage Performance 1280x1024
Overall - 3936
GPU -3506
CPU - 6227

I feel a little robbed at the moment theres got to be something left. Drivers maybe even though I am on the latest official nvidia it seems that they arent approved, never had that issue with official only modded.

Unfortunately, where most of us would've been especially wanting to see cuts on the more popular enthusiast models such as the i5-2500, i5-2500K, i7-2600 and i7-2600K, they are not mentioned in the list.

Seems like the price drops arent enough to shake the $179 price from microcenter on the i5-2500K anyways. Which is where I planned to get it.
 
I rest my madness. This morning I flashed the card to 1.2v to test the upper limit.

660/1650/900 was unstable and 650/1625/900 my target was stable but 1.2v is too hot for a 10/25mhz increase to matter.

I rest at 640mhz Core/1600mhz Shader/900 Memory @ 1.15 volt which is a 20% overclock over the stock speeds.
 
Fuckin cant wont and dont stop.

Burned 2 hours on 650/1625/900 @ 1.15 and then topped my best windows 7 3dmark06 with a 9920.

I doubt he has the balls to blow up his only graphics cards. Especially with lesbian action heating up the air.

I on the other hand keep a frigged bitch in the room and dont mind if things explode.
