European peripherals maker ROCCAT is planning a big splash for January's CES, demanding that American gamers get some "serious German engineering." Awkward stereotyping aside, the company's first official foray over here will see it release the flagship Isku illuminated keyboard and the Kone[+] mouse. There's also mention of the ROCCAT Talk system, which will let the devices chat to each other as you play, but didn't say how -- or why it'll improve matters. There's also a tight lid being placed over the pricing, but since its keyboards retail for $150 and mice $100 on the other side of the Atlantic, we wouldn't expect it to stray too far from that particular tree.

Gonna be badass. Ive been needing a new keyboard and my Roccat Kone+ is pretty damn nice now that I got it fixed. :D

You have one of their products? Are the keys mechanical or ??? I have the G-15, but am not really impressed.

Have you ever used a logitech G5? The kone+ feels remarkably similar to that. All the buttons have a noticable click to them. the mouse wheel has some issues after extended use but all you need to do is oil it and it goes away. Mine had a problem with the laser so I had to RMA it. They have no problems replacing or repairing anything that breaks. They didnt even ask me any questions, just told them what happened and they said ok ship it to this address with my order details and wham a couple weeks later I had it back with a new laser in it.

Oh I guess I should have actually understood what you posted. lol I thought you had their keyboard. I'm pretty happy with my G9, although the DPI settings button gets pressed inadvertently from time to time form my big ole dick beaters, but overall its a great mouse. The G-15 keyboard I have is not so great. It does do good with typing and overall performance, but I'm not overly impressed for the money on the quality of the keyboard construction. Hell it was only a few months old when one of the feet broke off. I'm looking for a new keyboard soon so I was curious to see if this one has the mechanical keys that quite a few say are the thing to have.

Im using the Razor Lycosa keyboard right now and although I have gotten use to it i dont like the feel of the buttons on this. I liked my Gen 1 G15 with a bazillion buttons on it.
