Without doing research on the internet ahead of time. I did not realize that Google + Sprint completely shited this one out without thinking. My wife's SD card is:
1. Now Currupted
2. Not usable on the S4.

So the whole point of having a S4 INSTEAD of a HTC One or other phone - IS THE SD CARD.
Whoever thought "you know, those guys don't need that SD card. 16GB of space is plenty, though I guess we only let them use about 8-10GB of it."

idiots. Seriously pissed and thinking about selling off both phones and getting Nexus 5's or something else.

16Gb is not a whole lot; I have HTC and its almost full from all my Outlook, pictures, and music. I would go with 32GB internal and 32GB SD; SD can be used no matter what phone you have.

Is sprint's bootloader locked? If not just grab the tar or one click odin for the last official 4.3 build and flash the phone back for now. Last I heard Samsung was planning to switch to Googles methods for handling SD cards. Basically Google hates SD cards and Samsung every version goes in and undoes some of the changes Google did to the OS. For awhile we were using the /external_sd then /sdcard1 and still using fat32 or even exfat. I dunno what the 4.4 method is but the internal on the Nexus is /0/ and formatted ext4. The internal is apparently actually a virtual file system or some crap. I read like half the article and all I know is I didn't want to ever have to deal with it lol.

I put 4.4 on my S4 something like 5 months ago. I'm sorry that happened to you, have you searched the XDA forums for help?

Yeah, mostly frustrating for my wife - who just wants stuff to work.
