Sony's biggest misses

PSP Go was more of an answer to piracy than anything. They also figured if they controlled the content it wouldnt be hacked. A new Tiff exploit based HEN came out and this is now why the Vita uses proprietary memory cards and can only be side loaded with user content using a PS3 thats online.

The PS3 price was extremely reasonable considering a PC of double the price at the time had no where near the cpu power. Everyone figures a console is worth 300 bucks no matter what hardware is in it. The fucking thing had 7 vector processors that do the same thing we now use GPGPU for on desktops for say PhysX. Its way outdated now.

Yeah the PS3 price was ridiculous, not to mention the games and PSN absolutely suck hair nutsack.

On a lighter note, the Mini-disc was'nt too bad.. We had them at the radio station for decades and they audio quality never faded. I personally liked them over a CD, but once master controll from the computer was developed all our MD players were thrown in the trash.
