oh and balls my mobo has a slot in between the x16 slots for spacing of crossfire.

Looks great. Maybe the extra $20.00 for Win 7 Pro instead of home.

professionnal is fully compatible with xp programs which home isn't ...

Pilot, don't forget either Chuck or I can get the 920 for you for $211.00us including tax and ship it to you. It would still save some money.

i appreciate the offer six, but it would be stuck at the border for 1-2 possibly 3 weeks (previous experiences) and i want this pc asap
my passport also expires on the 21st so i can't cross over and bring it over myself (cursed passport law)

The one thing you dont have is a ssd and a small one is cheap like 10 dollars for a 128 gb
It's large enough for a few games and its a considerable difference when compared to a 7200 rpm Hd great for lightning fast reads.

an extra $150 will get you a 5870- will outperform 5770x2 should you add the extra card - plus the 2 5770's will cost you more in the long run.

i will probably upgrade to the new nvidea card when it comes out and also an ssd, for now this is to get me running bfbc2 at or very soon after release, that is why it around 2k i might be able to add an ssd or 5870 this time around, but that depends on how much moola i have in my paypal account later on.

I got the same motherboard z242pilot, and the bios of this motherboard is very nice. Easy to overclock cpu ram, anything you need. You will never need to see your motherboard again (maybe if you are installing new hardware ;B)

thanks beaver, nothing beats first hand experience from a friend :-) i'm now extremely comfortable with my mobo choice

Not even in the Bios it is easy to overclocked the CPU, GIGABYTE gives a software which does that.
Have a look ;B

Has you can see it is not OC now but I'll do it on the next minute!
Hmmm TURBO ;)

cool, i will definitely use that until i get a good idea of the temps, than i might go to 3.5

Pilot, they stop UPS, USPS, etc. packages at the border for that long? I've gotten deliveries from Canada within days here in Atlanta, wtf? I hadn't realized it worked the other way around for you. Bummer.

And yeah, the 920's overclock like crazy, and it's easy too. On all default settings (meaning I didn't change a single thing in the bios except the multiplier number from 133 to 191, my 920 OCs to 3.82 stable. If I want to go higher, and I do, then I have to change bios settings, but 3.6ghz is nothing for this processor. I think you're really going to like this PC when it's all put together.

i'm hoping :-) i have gotten model airplane parts and such that spent that long at the border, so i assume other electronics will be similar. as for this pc, i will go with the 5770 for now as i have seen shots of 51fps average all maxxed out at 1080p, so compared to my 1280x800 laptop that runs 2142 on low quality with 38fps, i think i will shit myself once i get it working. i'm just going nuts waiting for that last paycheck, and i'll go even more nuts waiting for the dam paypal money to get added (8 days).

i wonder how much i can OC my i7 860. hmm. intel turboboost already takes it from 2.8 to 3.4 on a single threaded application.
