Everything was great in BF4 no issues on the setting I had. Win 10 wanted to do an update so I restarted and in game BF4 performance went terrible.
i7-6700 @ 4.7ghz
GTX 970
16GB 3200mhz ram
512 GB SSD Samsung 850 PRO
When I first got the GTX 970 I had the same thing with different equipment. In game was 30-50 FPS I went to Nvidia Geforce Experience and told it to optimize the game. Went back into BF4 and dialed the settings down from ultra and turned the crap off that didn't need to be on and thats when my FPS shot back up to expected.
So FFW to this update, same thing happened I followed the same 'fix' I did before but it's not working. I did a fresh install of the latest Nvidia drivers again and repeated the steps still no good. I went in game and changed setting but now I'm at a place where it spikes to 90 ish FPS but drops back down again to 30-50.
I have MSI afterburner on with a ever so mild overclock and put all that to default etc.
Restarted PC lots of time but I'm at a loss, maybe there is a setting I'm missing? Any ideas?
Thanks
