Eventually I plan to do a custom loop, maybe when I move into a larger case. I am really trying to figure out right now which of the Corsair coolers to buy.

Alright. So with AIO coolers, I recommend against 120mm radiators for proper cooling. From all brands. You'll need a Corsair cooler with a larger radiator radiator. The H110i GTX that I mentioned above will be compatible with your case although at a higher cost. You mentioned other similar coolers from Corsair, I haven't used any other 280mm AIO's from Corsair so I really can't say if their performance will actually be on-par.. I'm sorry about that.Eventually I plan to do a custom loop, maybe when I move into a larger case. I am really trying to figure out right now which of the Corsair coolers to buy.
You used the paste that came with it? You should have. Also try occt instead and see which cores are high.Well, think I may have a thermal paste issue or something. Temps on 1 hr of Prime 95 never got above 65C.
Today, a few days later, HWMonitor logged temp highs around 75C after 2 hours of playing The Division.
I dropped the clock down to 4.2 ghz, just to see if it would help, no dice. 71-75C high temps on most all the cores.
Idle currently is 31-37C
If you still have issues then the plate is probably warped.I actually ordered some of that paste this morning. Supposed to be better than AS5
