Thought that I would love the game mode, but I actually fucking hate it.


this is no homage to 2142. It's a cool idea, but a grossly underdeveloped game mode.

it's actually really lame.. No jets, attack helicopters, transports, just boats and boats and hoes.


Carrier is too fucking easy to attack, the MCOMS are laughable, and there is no fiery explosions to escape from. Just pure, utter lameness.

makes me le sad :(
 
What do you mean lex? There are transport choppers, scout choppers and I'm pretty sure on some maps attack helicopters.

Im talking about every map bro, I think there is 1 map that may have both attack and transport choppers together, it's just poor all around dude. I feel like they just rolled over on this game mode.

The carriers are ridiculously unprotected. Once it is breached, you are pretty well done. Everyone from the other team is on and defending is a joke.
 
Did you guys really expect it to live up to any expectations? with the crap they have given us so far i didnt have much hope
 
Its a shame though, I know they couldn't have done a "floating" base ala 2142, but it is an aircraft carrier, with no real defense (imagine that) and as Mac8r says once its breached its all but done.
I would have loved to see a fight just to get to the ship, with a final assault on the carrier. Bonus points if you get off the carrier before it blows!
 
Maybe one or two hours is all I could handle; the developers should really stop with the BF title. Its sad that we thought BC2 was bad when it came out.
 
Give it a patch. I kind of like it, but it needs the parachute thing removed, jets added and another transport chopper or two
 
It also needs fun added.

Basically it is missing that.

Well I have to say I have fun using the hovercraft as I drive over people. ;)
haha, first 30seconds on Naval Strike map, I saw one of those in the water heading towards me, and I was like shit, as soon as he hits land he is going to stop and I will shoot him, then WHAMMO that motherfucker squishes me. I was like, OHHHHHHHH YEA, hovercrafts can drive on land too
 
I dont care for the roof top shit, personally I think it destroys balance and the whole idea of domination. If it is team deathmatch, than ya it makes sense. I wish spawning had an option of parachuting into the game, to counter the roof top shit.

I have not tried any of "Naval Strike" yet, but it doesn't sound like I have missed much. lol
 
I just don't understand EA, those map would make nice infantry maps - so what the fuck the carrier doing there.
I think they might have had a great idea, but by the time they implement it, fixed the bugS, and delivered it, it was lost.
/jk This game is perfect except they would need a larger map with more vehicle and forget the parachute over the carrier, also add defense in the carrier, etc...
As the game were developed, 2142, bf2, bc, bf3, bf4, they increase the technology content and features and the picture, but they forgot about the gameplay, the fun, of the teamplay.
This is EA law, every year you need a computer with twice the CPU processing for half the fun.
 
yea, if one faction breaches carrier defenses, and is on the "m-com assault", the defending team should no longer have the ability to spawn anywhere BUT the carrier. Until, every enemy on the carrier is dead, resulting in nullifying the assault on engine room/enemy carrier. Once a successful defense has been made, they should have to make a choice, defend their carrier, OR assault silo points (or split team to do both until the other carrier has been breached). Therefore, prolonging time of round and a chance to make things interesting.

To sum it up, each faction should have a chance at an initial (VALID ATTEMPT) assault/defense before the round ends. ./endrant
 
-Shields need to last longer. This causes more focus on taking and keeping nodes.
-Ships needs more than two nodes to blow up. The moment a breach happens, if you have a drop ship overhead, everyone should be able to blitz and get a few objectives blown up, otherwise there should be a short time for defense to get set up to make it a game of PUUUUSSSSHHHH!
-Increased carrier defense. I can understand not having turrets raining down fire, but an AA gun with reduced range (not full map coverage but able to damage a chopper at close range) and maybe even a turret that can shoot down a missile every 3 minutes or something.
-Paradrop is bad, BUT extend the radius of the gunship, and it can be used for a drop point IF controlled still (keeps some focus on holding ground points)
-1 IFV to each team's carrier deployment
-Increase the size of the maps.

My biggest beef at the moment is that a round lasts 10-15 minutes, if that. Thats not a battlefield game, thats a CoD match...
