Prince, and at one point, the Artist Formerly Known as Prince, is one of the greatest musical artists of our time. In fact, he was ranked at 28th in Rolling Stones' list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time.
This immensely talented man doesn't have much love for the internet, computers or other digital gadgets, though.
In an interview with UK paper the Mirror, which he is doing an album promotion with, Prince said that his new album will be released only on CD – no internet downloads through iTunes, Amazon, or any other form digital distribution, direct or not.
Prince is even against having his music play on YouTube and he has even shut down his official website. The artist explains that he doesn’t see any future in the internet.
"The internet's completely over. I don't see why I should give my new music to iTunes or anyone else. They won't pay me an advance for it and then they get angry when they can't get it.
"The internet's like MTV. At one time MTV was hip and suddenly it became outdated. Anyway, all these computers and digital gadgets are no good.
"They just fill your head with numbers and that can't be good for you."

Ah, so Prince only gives a shit about online stuff if it makes him money. If it's not generating income then it must be passe. What a douche. As if the little fuck doesn't have more than he could spend in 3 lifetimes already. But yeah, all those "gadgets" can't be good for you. So says the technophobic turd.

why doesnt he release it on tape technically a cd is a digital gadget right.... how about cassette tape and see how many albums he sells

I make my living with numbers, so FUCK YOU PRINCE - lulz.

I'm sure he was just being scandalously ridiculous and looking for some publicity... looks like he got it.

Biting the hand that feeds you. Isn't the thing he's holding a digital gadget now. Reason why MTV sucks is its mostly shows about whiny dumbfucks(i.e "The Real World") and 16 year old sluts(i.e "16 and Pregnant"). The only time we can watch his videos is on VH1 Classic. Isn't record, tape and CD player a digital gadget? You know the things that helped you get rich.

Well damn, way to Purple Rain on my online parade! Listen: I hate numbers as much as the next guy who never learned how to long divide. And I'll also be the first to admit that except for The Hills, MTV sucks balls. Haha, stop throwing things at me. But seriously, Princess -- can I call you Princess? My point is, Squire, the internet ain't dead. It'll live on forever in the hearts and minds of our robotic overlords. What?! I'm being for real real not for play play.

well guys looks like we have to go back to DOS and the 10 million floppy discs that it too to play doom..... because back then it was hip!.......lets bring DOS back!!!!! Fuck GUI's, give me a C:/ and a flashing green line and im good!
